WHAT IS Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (bhrt)?

“BHRT for women and men is truly a fountain of youth!” – Dr. German

BHRT is a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art approach for menopause (peri and post) in women and andropause in men.  In fact, the FDA has fully approved of hormonal therapy for menopause in women and hypogonadism in men.  Both men and women lose up to 90% of their natural hormones as they age, with many uncomfortable symptoms often beginning around the age of 45-50. These hormones are necessary in both men and women and have been identified as a positive factor to help prevent and protect against serious conditions such as osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s and coronary artery disease (CAD).  Our program is designed to promote health and wellness and quality of life.

Bio-identical hormones are compounded from wild yams and other plant sources and are identical to the hormones our bodies naturally produce – unlike synthetic products, which have been associated with higher risks of cancer and coronary artery disease. With BHRT, estrogen and testosterone are delivered in pellet form, each about the size of a grain of rice, painlessly inserted under sterile conditions into the hip area under a local anesthetic. On average, each pellet lasts from 3-4 months in women and 5-6 months in men. Progesterone for women is given in oral capsule form and taken each night at bedtime.

Dr. German has performed over 4000 painless pellet insertions of estradiol and testosterone for several thousand patients and is considered a premier expert in this field. He has given many lectures and seminars on the subject, has trained doctors and qualified health care providers in the advanced pellet insertion technique, and presents the latest leading-edge literature. His faith in this trailblazing technology is bolstered by the fact that creams, gels, patches, inserts, pills, and injections are generally inferior methods of hormone delivery, requiring daily usage and achieving less than optimal hormonal blood levels that cause a roller coaster effect. He and his wife, Holly, have happily received BHRT by pellet insertion themselves for over five years.
